5 Tips to Stay Hydrated


Staying hydrated is one of the most important things you can do for your health. Water is essential for nearly every bodily function, so it’s important to make sure you’re drinking enough of it. Here are some tips to help you stay hydrated:


1. Drink water throughout the day. Carry a reusable water bottle with you and take sips throughout the day. Try to get in the habit of drinking a glass of water with each meal. 2. Eat water-rich foods. Fruits and vegetables that are high in water content are great for keeping you hydrated. Examples include cucumbers, celery, watermelon, and grapefruit.


3. Avoid dehydrating drinks. Coffee, soft drinks, and alcohol are all dehydrating beverages, so try to limit your intake of these. If you do consume these drinks, be sure to follow them up with a glass of water. Consider trying sparkling water as it provides the same hydration without the added sugar and calories.


4. Ad flavor to your water. If you’re getting bored with plain water, try adding some flavor to it. Use fruits or herbs like lemon, lime, mint, or cucumber to add some natural flavor.


5. Set reminders. Set reminders on your phone or computer to remind you to drink water throughout the day. This can help you make sure you’re getting in enough fluids.
